Do you want to take part in building an European AI platform for sovereign environments? This could be the right opportunity for you.

We’d like to bring a Senior Product Designer into the team to own the developer experience end to end. The platform is already used by our first customers — now we want to take the experience further. And you could be the one to shape what it becomes.

🤖 About the product

One of our key initiatives is BullSequana AI (BSQ AI), a full-lifecycle Data & AI platform for organizations operating in highly regulated, sovereign environments where public cloud isn’t an option. It enables customers to run AI while meeting strict requirements around data sovereignty, security, and governance. Our customers include AI factories, sovereign cloud providers, defence, and the public sector. BSQ AI is built entirely in Europe, follows an open-source-first approach, and is powered by best-in-class open-source technologies such as Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, vLLM, and Milvus, with no vendor lock-in.

🧭 What you'll own

You'll design the full product surface our technical users touch: web console, APIs, CLI, ChatBot and the actions users perform — configuration, monitoring, debugging, documentation, and collaboration. You will interact with end users, collect their feedback on how they like the platform, and together with the engineering team implement the changes.

What you aim to achieve:

• Users are able to carry out their day-to-day job without hand-holding or tribal knowledge.
• The platform is learnable on its own — strong onboarding, clear terminology, navigation that matches how technical users actually think.
• Complex capabilities are exposed as clear, coherent product experiences rather than raw feature surface.

🛠️ What you'll do

• Design end-to-end workflows for AI engineers, data scientists, and platform engineers — what their day-to-day on the platform should actually look like.
• Improve the experience consistently across UI, API, and CLI, so the three feel like one product.
• Partner with engineering and product to shape product behaviour, not just interface layout.
• Run user research with technical users and turn findings into shipped improvements.
• Produce the end-user experience, wireframes, prototypes, interaction specs, and a reusable design-pattern library.
• Drive terminology, information architecture, and navigation across the platform.

🧩 What we're looking for

• Experience designing technical B2B products — Data & AI platforms, cloud tools, observability, DevOps, or similar.
• A working understanding of AI engineers, data scientists, and platform engineers: their workflows, their tools, and what they expect from a Data & AI platform.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to hold complex technical workflows in your head.
• Strong interaction design, information architecture, and UX craft, with the judgement to design for technical users specifically.
• Comfort reasoning across APIs, CLIs, and UIs as one product, and collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, and PMs.
• Comfort reading the artefacts you're designing around — YAML, JSON, API docs, terminal commands — well enough to earn engineers' trust.
• Familiar with AI tools and the use of agents in your day-to-day life, especially for prototyping.
