Get in the driver's seat
As a Cost Engineer you will support product cost optimization and controlling, ensuring that projects meet profitability targets. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management and Purchasing teams to define and achieve cost targets for materials and investments.
You will be part of a cross-functional environment, contributing to the development of cost management processes and tools. You will be responsible for a specific area of the vehicle, ensuring full control over the total cost of ownership for your parts, systems and suppliers.

Where you’ll make an impact
Definition of product cost targets based on component and tooling knowledge
Collaboration with Purchasing in analyzing supplier quotations and identifying gaps
Development of cost benchmark databases for future projects
Make or buy analyses and business case evaluations
Collaboration with Engineering on Design-to-Cost activities
Building internal knowledge on manufacturing processes and cost drivers
Support the development and implementation of cost management processes to ensure target achievement
What are your core components
Minimum 2 years of experience in cost engineering, purchasing or a similar role within manufacturing or product development environments
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Experience with cost estimation methodologies (e.g. should cost, gap analysis, benchmarking) and project development processes
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies
Experience in cost controlling or cost engineering is considered a plus
Experience with cost estimation software (e.g., LeanCOST, Siemens PCM, Costdata)
Basic understanding of CAD tools is beneficial
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Good communication and negotiation abilities

Salary range: €37 500 – €57 500 gross per year (depending on experience)
